Iām not even sure that lemmy.world was around at that point, it certainly did not appear to be the āsensible defaultā it appears to have turned into.
Iām not using the instance as any kind of political statement, this is just the account I use to interact with Lemmy as a network. I could certainly move off the instance, but Iāve found that filtering out some content makes the instance mostly usable for my purposes.
Feel free to check my post history as to whether Iām auth left or not, Iām certain youāll find that Iām not. Leaning more and more left as the days pass, to be sure, but with no love for authoritarianism.

Also iirc lemmy.ml doesnāt require an email address which is another plus. My account was also with ml initially. The only disadvantage of lemmy.ml is that if you go to all or local youāll see all of that tankie BS.
