Right, so I chose lemmy.ml in June 2023 right at the start of the exodus from Reddit as it appeared to be a âsensible defaultâ at that point. Iâm not even sure that lemmy.world was around at that point, it certainly did not appear to be the âsensible defaultâ it appears to have turned into.
Iâm not using the instance as any kind of political statement, this is just the account I use to interact with Lemmy as a network. I could certainly move off the instance, but Iâve found that filtering out some content makes the instance mostly usable for my purposes.
Feel free to check my post history as to whether Iâm auth left or not, Iâm certain youâll find that Iâm not. Leaning more and more left as the days pass, to be sure, but with no love for authoritarianism.

Also iirc lemmy.ml doesnât require an email address which is another plus. My account was also with ml initially. The only disadvantage of lemmy.ml is that if you go to all or local youâll see all of that tankie BS.
