I would be careful with what is considered a 'city'. Even though small indian towns/villages can have 100,000+ people, there isn't much to do there.

Tier 1 Indian cities have interesting things like decent restaurants, theaters, sports etc. Tier 2 and below are devoid of interesting entertainment. Indians are surprisingly boring by Western standards.

Yeah, I am sure you could live for 100$... but would it really be a 'life' ? You'd die of boredom.
