  It does say:

  he finds a doctor who is a man we might think is going to be weird and odd, but actually is a force for good.

  Which feels like misdirection. A doctor in a zombie apocalypse is always up to no good.

    Yes, but knowing that, subverting it is not a bad idea. Misdirection can go both ways.
