They were a fast growing conifer species. I donāt know if they will recoverā¦.

I confess that I donāt know much about plants and stuff in general but Iāve seen cases where they can sometimes regrow from that state.
Maybe what you were looking after might still have some hope left and they might regrow if thereās something left.
