  It must be either genetic or lack of time. Either folk are biologically predisposed to follow the herd or the independent minded have hands full with family, work etc and don't have time to read what's actually happening.

  MSM brainwashing does its job, taking out the most vulnerable low information folk. 1984 was spot on

    I think most people generally want to leave others alone, and there's a minority of people who very deeply want to control others. I think that that's where the current divide is. You have the people on the left who want to control every single person write down to their thoughts, and you have everybody else who just want to live their life and don't really care how others live. I still think that way, but I can absolutely see why people who keep on getting pushed around eventually just go "forget it, I'm cutting this off"

      Extremists on both sides. Left wants WWIII, Neo nazis in Ukraine have been killing civillians for a decade, just for speaking a different language... even though genetically and culturally its their people. Mass murderers both ways

      Its the responsibility of the rest of us in the middle to protest & make noise. That way you will at least have no regrets when they send you to the death camps

        I don't know if I agree with that. As I've aged I've watched a whole lot of people who want to save the world and they can't even save themselves. It seems the lesson from where I'm standing is that we should be more focused on saving ourselves and maybe, after that, if we manage to put on our own life preserver, afterwards we can try to help others put on their own.

        And overwhelming amount of the troubles that we face are people who are completely failed as human beings assuming that if they just conquer the world then all of their problems will disappear.

  I’ve gone from being basically on the left with some fiscal conservative thrown in for good measure
