But to awnser your question: There is a so called HIPAA and it says that its none of your business what the exact reason for a medical procedures are, wich also means that any statistics you would find online are made up with estimates, from people that are not involved in the thing, as it would be illegal for them.

That isn’t true at all. HIPAA does not prevent the information from being used for research. It just protects the information from being tied back to an indentifable person.
