Huh, so gutting an existing controller and putting it into a custom case, basically. Not bad 👍
I kinda went the opposite route with gp2040-ce. Found pieces of a cheap xbox360 controller in like 5 boxes (it’s been disassembled for the last 5 years at least, so yeah, it was the most challenging and not-yet-completed part), cut a few traces (3v3 for analog sticks, otherwise 3v3 was a bit shorted to ground, and rp’s voltage regulator decided it was a tiny space heater) and basically hijacked the ic, i.e. sloppily wired shit together hoping the thickness of wires won’t bite me in the ass. Spoiler, it did, so it required a few attempts to get everything working

As soon as I see a grid mat in a YouTube video I immediately feel 87% more optimistic about the creator’s skills and intention. I feel like I’m about to see some real shit.
