Burger Assembly Engineer sounds pretty impressive.

Over 20 years ago I worked at Mcdonalds and I still rember the time a customer returned two big macs for not looking as good as the picture. The burger assembly engineer was kind of a rough fellow, and he came marching out of the back room with the second big Mac, handed it back to her and said “lady, I work on the back, I can’t see the picture. Take your big Mac”
Good times.

IIRC McDonald's argument on that one is that is that it's technically possible to get a Big Mac to look like the picture, if you have long enough to put it together and access to a professional photographer.

An excuse i heard is that in ordsr to communicate its contents they need to make sure all topping on the burger should clearly standout.
It makes sense if you consider that many fast fold h Joints have no online menu but then again they are chosing not to have an online menu. The screens above the counter rotate between items for a reason and its to avoid giving information that can lead to well thought out good priced choices
