hemko@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 year agoNot a single lemmy user or admin, was it .world, .ml, HB or exploding heads or dbzer0 would benefit from other instances being attacked like this. Spamming normal porn or gore maybe could go as a joke or retaliation sure but using csam is very threatening to the whole fediverse even if done against a single small instance.

No federated instance would benefit from it, but users of a defederated instance might think it’s a good idea if they viewed it as hampering the competition.

What would it mean if lemmy as whole would get a reputation of being infested with cp? That’s the risk.
