icecream.social is available, and I really want it, but I just can’t justify the $800 a year, even if the name is amazing.

That’s insanely expensive. I suspect that icream.socal is a lot cheaper.

Anything that is desirable is going to be more expensive. I share initials with a certain show company and a comic book company. Getting any domain name with my initials, even one of the “cheaper” TLDs is insanely expensive. Like $60K USD a year expensive.
