I don’t hate vegans, I hate the sense of superiority that majority (but not all) of them seem to have. Instead of trying to find common ground, they alienate themselves from others. You’re exhibiting exactly that behavior.

And for what it’s worth, I don’t think I’ve ever used the phrase “college boy”.
