Comment on Armored Core - Show off your Tank Cores

People that have played this – Are you enjoying it? Would it be okay for me to jump in and play this new one and not miss anything story wise, provided I’ve never played any of the others? Or should I be looking to at least looking to learn the story so far with the other games before attempting to play this new one?

Story wise it’s self contained. You might be on slightly better footing with the building mechanics if you’ve played another, but it’s not required.

Nothing story related to the other ones has hampered me. Missions are all replayable, with full cutscenes where they are. If you want an excellent mech customization + arena + objectives in bite-size chunks with really great boss fights, you won’t regret it. It works fully on the Steam Deck too, which is great for quick breaks from work.
