chemical_cutthroat@lemmy.world 4 weeks agoBack when I was forced to go to church, there used to be drives where we would take a second offering to buy up tickets for Christian movies in the theaters and “give them to people who needed to see the movie.” I went to one once. I was the only one there. Where did that money go, huh?

I think you know, haha. The podcast I mentioned also sometimes has guests who had to sit through those things a kids, so that tracks. It’s probably funny/sad to revisit some of those films.

The only nostalgia I have for anything Christian was for a Legend of Zelda clone that I played as a kid called Spiritual Warfare. I kinda want to go back and play it, but I have so many other, better things to do.
