mvirts@lemmy.world 4 weeks agoI wonder what the legality of transferring ownership of the account to someone in the EU in order to request gdpr enforcement would be… Or I suppose you could become an EU resident but that would be rather difficult.

Most likely you could just hit it from a proxy and say you are from the EU.

Actually, the GDPR applies to EU citizens no matter where they are so you shouldn’t have to make your request from the EU for them to have to believe it
