masterofballs@wolfballs.com 2 years agoThey will ban anything right of center. They try to avoid politics but every now and then some tech and politics get intertwined and they only allow the leftest to comment.

This is true! I think the combo of that and the website design being similar to ours could make this platform be a great entrance point for Hacker News people curious about the Fediverse

Hacker News is particular vulnerable to being consumed by the fediverse. Their users are technically literate enough to understand it's merits.
Hacker news aught to build in some activity pub features if it wants to stay relevant. Pretty sure it's owned by some media conglomerate now though that will just suck every last dime out of it until it dies like myspace.
