themeatbridge@lemmy.world 1 month agoBulkhead seats usually have reserved overhead storage. The attendants will often offer to stow your bags for you right before takeoff, so that you can access your bags right up until they need to be stowed.

True. Most will. Sadly the one that I was on didn’t.

First class in there was worn out seats and arm rests. And if the plane was filled you had to put your carry on bag under the plane. You go down the ramp and just before the door to enter the plane you set your carry on down and they put the bag under the plane.

My experience is that it is entirely on the flight crew to think ahead and “reserve” this space. Sometimes, it’s not really reserved at all, there is just more room for overhead stuff in First Class so they just put your bag there, and then you have to endure the stare of entitled dipshits every time you need to get your bag.
