masterofballs@wolfballs.com 2 years agoI can see some use cases there. We would need UI that tells users the community is blocking us though and I font want their votes that we can't participate in fucking up our front page algorithms.

For that I think we should just write a bot that repost from certain communities.
I can probably do that in a day.

that would work. Repost maybe from certain communities like the linux one. In to its own separate lemmy mirror community (not the wolfballls linux). Or do you think they should be combined? I think it might be good to be separate to prevent duplicates and junk posts getting on to the main linux community.

As far as the bot is concerned, it doesn't matter. Anyone could run the bot from any computer because it would call a public api to get recent post, filter out ones already saved and then post them to the other instance.
Whoever is running the bot or modding the community could decide where it would post.
