    Nobody is gonna say shit if you buy a bag from Woolies or Coles with a paper bowl, but you’ll probs only be saving yourself $5-$7.

      I’ve not been to the one at crown or to gold class, but I’ve literally never had anyone at any theatre (I’ve been to most of the majors) care about smuggling in some stuff from Coles. Granted I don’t just walk in holding a packet of chips, I usually just have a small pack of something and a drink stuffed in my pockets, but as long as you aren’t obvious about it they’re unlikely to care. Plus the entirety of Hoyts seems to be staffed by like 2 people who always seem horribly burnt out and give absolutely zero shits

        Good class is well worth the money if you’ve never been. As there are so few seats in the room and it being more expensive, it weeds out people that may disrupt your viewing experience. The seats are very comfy too. It’s like having a real home cinema screen. But it’s easy to get carried away and spend money though with a “press this button on your table for food or drinks” being available on demand.

        But yeah, the people staffing at the Crown one are polite stereotypical minimum wage idgaf people, which is probably the same experience I assume at the Hoyts you’ve been to.

        So to original replier: if you’re short on cash just don’t be a knob and no one will care. Maybe buy a drink / soda!?
