amio@kbin.social 10 months agoAntivaxxers are literally dangerous, if platformed - I personally and indirectly know people who very nearly accidentally killed themselves with that stupid bullshit - still might, actually. "Here to be contradicted" is a nice, optimistic thought. It doesn't work though: this is not reasoned debate with reasonable people. They are the pigeon on the chessboard.
The only danger they pose is to themselves and the witless.
Having said that, they can be really boring and monotonous. Their arguments are gormless at best, and don't have the intelligence to know when their vacuous arguments have been shot between the water line.
Will they learn anything. Nope. They are immune to intelligence (see what I did there?).

Of course they are. I personally only feel that the only tragedy to an antivaxxer getting run down in a parking lot would be if the driver didn’t immediately shift into reverse and repeat the process.
However, the ultimate price we pay to shut these idiots up is too high. If we continue to adress them with the scorn and lack of respect they deserve, they tend to go away on their own.
