Not when it comes to the bans. They’re also issued on a whim but there’s that implicit knowledge that you’re going to reset your IP, clean your cookies, and the ban will last exactly five minutes. Even if it’s supposed to last six years (like the time that I was banned for asking “I’m 12 and what is this?”, and the newbie mod wasn’t aware of the meme).
