I don't even know why anyone is still on Twitter. As far as I can tell it doesn't really provide a unique service, and they seem to think that they know better than you what you should say.

Everyone I know has moved to that neighborhood-based social media site whose name escapes me. That way they can bitch at their neighbors in real time.

lol yeah i've used it. next door. There is probably a few. It's pretty useful to warn others when there is some crazy person around. It seems to censor pretty aggressively though.

It also has corporations. You can actually complain about amazon and amazon will respond on twitter.

This is why everyone remains on legacy social media: sunk costs and network effects.
RSS was a better idea but Google tried to kill it.
