cabbage@piefed.social 1 month agoIf I remember correctly Reddit did something with a cake next to the user name or something. Kind of designed to derail the conversation. I'm not sure I want Lemmy interfaces to follow suit.

It may depend on which app you use, but Lemmy already does this. Of course I don’t see any at the moment to use as an example 😅

Ah, I wasn't aware! If it's there I guess people will randomly comment on it for sure.
I wonder if it displays it for users of other platforms (like Mastodon) as well. Could cause some fun interactions.

I didn’t really notice them until the last month or so.
It makes sense that there will be a big uptick in accounts hitting their 1 year anniversary right around the 1 year anniversary of the big Reddit exodus…
