Many people are focusing on it but he gave 15 dollars one time several years ago. It’s puzzling when matched with his republican registration but neither gives much insight at this point.
Had he given a million dollars, that’d be more interesting.
Context is something that most people can’t grasp on lemmy. I have donated to aoc before. I don’t agree with her on much but I like that she’s working with republicans to try to get things done. That doesn’t mean I’m lefty, it just means I want to support people who are trying to work together

I mean, multiple former classmates have already stated he’s been a well-known conservative for much of his life, including at school in one class he was the only one.
You can’t explain this away or blame the other side for this one. This was a full-on anti-trump Republican conservative.
