20-year-old, registered Republican, Thomas Matthew Crooks is the shooter, yes, but the donation to ActBlue referred to in the healing of this post was apparently made by somebody else.

The donation was made by the shooter as the fbi confirmed. The addresses and name match.

Ah, ok - I assumed that you linked an outdated source but yes, it does appear that they are the same.

Right now, all we know is he is a registered Republican, but that is meaningless by itself. It is common for Democrats to register as Republicans to vote in the primary.
That doesn’t mean he wasn’t a Republican, but we do not know at this point in time.
We know he donated 15 dollars to a blue group. By itself, once again meaningless.
I get people want to jump to conclusions and speculate, but we do not know much about the situation at this time.
