Its been this way for decades. They will ask for x impossible qualifications for the compensation they want to offer. One of three things will happen:

1. No one applies, they alter the job posting or compensation
2. No one applies, the posting gets reposted for years
3. People apply and say fuck it. They get the job because there is no unicorn candidate

Moral of the story is apply if you really the job, or move on. It’s like running from a bear.
