You can use Linux without Wayland, which is probably the root of your problem (I’m guessing).

Please let this be the fix I need to make Linux work with my hardware
Any idea how long it will be before this release reaches something like Bazzite?

Unfortunately, from the issues I’ve had, it sounds like I’m reliant on Wayland if I want to be able to use two monitors with different refresh rates.

Ah, well in any case, get those proprietary drivers installed, don’t wait for your package maintainer!

Can I? I don’t know how and I was told before that I can’t update the driver on my own.

Which is quite common, kinda crazy it took this long to (maybe) properly support. I might have to try linux again if it's solid now.

Cool can I wait here with you?
I dig bazzite but gosh it seems to be a 50/50 shot whether the OS will load to the desktop or actually shutdown when I turn off the computer through the OS. I have it on two machines and one (Intel CPU with Nvidia GPU) works pretty well, the other (AMD CPU and Nvidia GPU) is struggling.

Grab a chair, we’ll wait 🪑
Bazzite’s been my most stable experience with Linux so far, but I might give Pop_OS another go if this update reaches it first.

I’ve gotten into the habit of just going into the terminal and using shutoff instead of using the os button for it. It seems to work every time, and I’m on the AMD CPU, Nvidia GPU situation as well. I’m really hoping this getting into bazzite will fix the issues I have with discord on Wayland.

Bazzite has finally completely locked up on me. Have you had any luck?
