Comment on France in Shock as Conservative Leader Embraces Far Right
needthosepylons@lemmy.world 6 months agoWell I mean you can’t base everything on it and France is following an international push to the far right, but the is also a documented involvement of and financial ties between the Kremlin and the French far right. … That being said, they would surely have won even without that.

I can base on the fact liberals have fucked this country to hell and back and they didn’t need Russian money to do it, their own greed was enough.

True enough, but that wasn’t my point. I was referring to the French FN/RN.

French far right being funded by Russian money has absolutely nothing to do with the complete obliteration of our public services and of our welfare system that has been happening for 40+ years under the hand of liberals.
Stop blaming Putin for everything, if the far right is popular today, it’s because liberals have ruined our country, not because of Russian money.

I literally agree with you and you’re arguing with me. That’s… awkward.

This is only partially true. The propaganda money from the big end of town is what’s getting people to vote against their own interests.
How does voting for the neo feudalists does anything to restore the welfare system?
The answer would be to vote for the people that want a better functioning government, vote further left not “oh well, I might as well vote for the people that want to burn the government to the ground”
This is some Brexit level shooting themselves in the foot to spite their face. The British public is slowly waking up to “Oh we were wrong”.
I just hope the west will have the opportunity to recover from this tilt.
