LainTrain@lemmy.dbzer0.com 5 months agoThat is a pointless difference in practice, because kids who suffer from gender dysphoria would use these meds for treatment of said dysphoria and do in the rest of the world that follows the expert guidance from WPATH, and now they can’t, and the kids will suffer as a result. But hey at least the transes will be mad innit.

It is not a pointless difference. The use of gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) agonists have been banned in the UK for the treatment of gender dysphoria. They are of course still available for treating precocious puberty, regardless of how anyone identifies.
