But that part is true. We see these huge seismic anomalies at the core-mantle boundary that many think is a “slab graveyard” (e.g. agupubs.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/…/2020GC009396 ).
Also pieces of the planet that hit Earth to make the moon.
We do not know for certain.
