  Think it through. You're one of the more thoughtful posters here, you and @SLAYERofTOBACCO@wolfballs.com cco@wolfballs, and a few others.

  If they start out federated, what happens? The Fedi gets to throw a tantrum and destroy Truth Social, which is exactly the narrative that the newspapers have offered.

  Therefore, they cannot do that.

  My guess is that like most people, they view the Fedi as geeks/nerds/dropouts and have no interest in federating, but they also employ some talented programmers.

  For that reason, they might decide to federate... if they do it six months in when they have fifty million users, they will quickly become an important part of the Fediverse.

  THAT would advance free speech greatly, especially since people could now interact with freespeechextremist.com, kiwifarms.cc, and poa.st as well as the endless stream of weird loli transsexuals and homosexual pedophile PHP developers.

  I mean, let's face it... the hole the Fediverse is in, is its users.
