The problem is that you can make fake assumptions easily and you will think that you are 100% right no matter the topic. Contrasting opinions is useful

You can assume they are assuming because they are wrong in every way about what a different group thinks.

The primary voters fit that description in a broad sense, the general election Republican voters less so. But, it’s the primary voters who decide the candidates, so that’s how you end up with that kind of person on the ticket and in office.
