So you don’t believe women?

This whole thing stinks of culture war boogie man bait…
There is no legit source for this story, aside from some conservative blogger(?) and a random Facebook post.
Nobody is going to say literally that they feel triggered. That’s an inflammatory term used to insult anybody on the opposite side of an argument…
Lame.

How do you arrive at that destination? Strawman, that’s how.

Even if the source is legit, it boils down to 'gay people told flag-wearing patriots they felt uncomfortable having them around".
Like…so what? Why does this matter in the first place?
PutangInaMo@lemmy.world 1 year ago
In conservative culture it helps push the “gays hate my country” narrative. Which to anybody with common sense is obviously not what it means, but it fuels that fire.

Two teams. It’s in the article.
It’s weird to have country dance group and not expect to see the American flag. The two go hand in hand

Why would gay people be uncomfortable with the American flag?
PeepinGoodArgs@reddthat.com 1 year ago
It’s not the flag, it’s the flag bearers.

But being real, if you’re scared of the flag of the country you live in, and those who fly it, shouldnt you apply for asylum in a different country at that point?

If they didnt like the dance squad, why did they go see them?
