  I’ve actually been considering a ring for a while. Unfortunately it would be a little bit difficult as we probably wouldn’t be allowed to hardwire it. Also since there’ll be a few other people living here soon, everybody would want access to it which has some security implications as well

    There’s one I think that you didn’t have to hard wire. But yeah there really should be more renter friendly security cameras. There’s a need

      I’m really skeptical of those because it seems like every week there’s a new story about ring or other internet cameras being hijacked

        I know, it sucks.

        I only mentioned Ring because I think there was one where the mount stuck on rather than being drilled in and was battery powered rather than hardwired.
