Comment on How does the day-to-day work of not wearing shoes in the house?
halferect@lemmy.world 2 months agoDid your wife grow up in a house that was all carpeted? And did you grow up in a house that was cement or wood? I could understand not wanting shoes on inside if it was wall to wall carpet or rugs.

She grew up in Kenya, their floors were just barren concrete I believe. There’s not alot of paved roads out there where family is out in the countryside, so it’s either super dusty there or super muddy, no in-between. When I visited there, it made total sense.
