Since 2014, China's decline has been accelerating, and by 2018 then knew it was fucked. Covid came at an awfully convenient time to find an exogenous factor to blame for the collapse of both China, and the USA, Canada, Japan, Korea, Australia, NZ and the EU, via their failing economies - because they are all coupled. The UK and EFTA have decoupled a bit, and are less vulnerable. Sterling is safer than the Swiss Franc, and bigger than the Norwegian Krone.
