On the word minority being problematic, I think many would agree for different reasons. I think some bigots would say it is another word for "trash." They'd rather use a different word, but if "minority" is all they can say...

I remember the uproar over the word "gay" in the past, when folks used it as an insult. Eg., "That movie's gay!" So if gay in that use meant stupid, then you are also calling gay people stupid. It is like so many on the Left can't separate out the different contexts of word meanings.
