The big benefit of a PC is not being locked into a manufacturer's ecosystem.
Steam is very dominant but it's ultimately up to the owner of the device what runs on it.

I suppose that doesn't matter if you just want to play games, but I appreciate being able to disable intro movies and other such settings manually if I have to.
