Comment on most libertarian costume
SkyezOpen@lemmy.world 1 day agoA “real” libertarian (you know, the mythical true Scotsman) pointed out that they actually chose the worst occupation. A bunch of libertarians believe that the state should have cops to protect private property and nothing else.
I think they have a point, but the fact that that’s what they take issue with is endlessly hilarious.

The whole premise the state could leave the market alone is so stupid
the state is what issues money, enforces contracts and so it controlls the legal framework of all banking, loans etc.
The state IS the game, everybody is just playing it.
Without the monopoly of force there is no confidence in contracts or debt and therefore money doesn’t work anymore
