is this like, based on a real fact?
This a bule poison dart frog. It has neurotoxins they collect from the insects they eat.
They are called the blue posion dart frog because people have used their poison for darts and arrows.

Saying “cool frog” is redundant.
yeah but sometimes you still gotta say it to remind the frogs in your life. i mean i was briefly in a cult where the founder (according to legend) got the shit kicked out of him by a frog.

do they have a large bird like that as predators was the question i wanted to ask
i’m not definite.
That looks like a great blue heron and they do eat frogs along with fish and small mammals.
The blue does make the frog stand out. So possibly…
