Printer connected to the Bazzite desktop and it wasnāt a nightmare to do. It was just harder than it seemed because I hadnāt put paper in yet so I kept declining the test print and it wasnāt clearly stating it was connected otherwise

My experience with Linux Mint & printers have been āIt just worksā.
Bazzite is cool & fun, Iām currently using it on my BC-250 3D printed console, but for my personal desktop & laptops Iāve grown to appreciate the reliability of Linux Mint Cinnamon Edition.
You donāt actually need a specific distro for better gaming performance, SteamOS 1.0 & 2.0 were Debian based like Ubuntu/Mint, so the Steam.deb installer you can download from the Steam website for me runs great including controller support.
I strongly recommend with whichever distro you use, to install AppManager for a specific app type called AppImage. AppImageās are a great portable app format for things that shouldnāt really need to be installed outright.
Normally with portable AppImageās, you would need to manually download and replace the file with each upgrade, but the AppManager can update all your AppImageās like a normal package manager after you add the apps GitHub link.
ProtonUp-Qt is one such AppImage which is great for downloading & managing third-party Protonā's such as GE-Proton. This third-party Proton is popular for older Windows games that have proprietary codecs that Steam canāt redistribute as a business without added costs, so normal Proton may not be able to play older game cutscenes.
AppImageās are generally distribution-agnostic & work well with immutable OSās like Bazzite.
