They should at the very least connect this to your start and make it so you can’t start your car till you pay.

They already do with remote starts with some vehicles. I forget which.
Also some cars I think use your phone as the key, so if you lose your phone, it breaks, is hacked, turned off, stolen, etcetera, you can’t use your vehicle.
