It’s damn difficult to communicate, that you really really want to see your friend, but not necessarily that friend’s extended family. Any chance of meeting up someplace where the kids can play on the worksafe hazards (supervised by their parents) leaving you (+friend) in peace? My first choice would be the cafe in the Botanical Gardens as the tables are really really small and there’s plenty of space for the replicants to run riot. And possibly drown in the lake, which should occupy the minds of their respective parents and keep them out of your hair.
