I mean whatre you using? Grandma’s lead paint? Why not just buy non-toxic oaint and if you are super super super concerned then just dont paint over any spots the skin is lacerat3d or punctured. The skin on fruit and veggies p3rforms the same roll as animal skin. Animal skin has oil, plants have fiber. Oil prevents tons of water based bacteria and viruses from getting in (maybe have it backwards it might be lipid based but the point is they dont play well together). Plant fiber… ima just look it up and copy pasta it cuz were a cunt hair away from 20 years removed from hs bio: “Antimicrobial activity is the most studied biofunctional property in natural plant fibers, followed by antioxidant, UV protective, and wound healing activities.”
The skins there for a reason. Just dont use oil base paint loljk
