There are still clubs and activities in adult life and also Iâm not forced to follow arbitrary rules all the time
You werenât forced to work with anyone.
Our schools were very different!

Everything was fun and exciting. The consequences of forgetting stuff or messing up werenât as bad. You werenât forced to work with anyone. Making friends was much easier. There were clubs and activities

Dunno man, I donât want to be contrariant, but it just sounds like you were privileged enough to think that way now.
I was poor, I didnât really get to go clubs or extra activities besides classes, neither did I made any lasting friendships.
Now Iâm in my 30s and Iâm living my best life. I have a job I can enjoy, enough money and a loving partner. Never have I thought that it would be nice to go back to school. Hell, I havenât had contact with anyone from school since it ended.
I do have some fond and grateful memories of some teachers. I think about them from time to time, but I donât really miss any of it.
Also, Iâm from a country that has decent enough public school system.

I could say the same for your point, since you clearly have the freedom to work at a job that you enjoy
