Ancient Egyptians had higher education programs, almost like us and universities. One “major” was the equivalent to what we would be archeology. As in, there were ancient egyptologists who studied an even more ancient Egypt.

Another example of things lasting far longer than people think is more years passed between the Stegosaurus and the T Rex than the T Rex to today.
