My buddy talked me into no mans sky and I gotta say, its really fun.
Its got bugs for sure, and some stuff that is irritating like having to hold E for every action or the stupid notification that happens every time you warp to a system or station that requires you to hold tab to skip but there are mods that help.
I love being able to build a ship and a base on different planets, own my own space fleet, destroy pirates, be a pirate, etc. Its far from perfect but I’m into it now. Its fun as hell.
It i really fun! Been playing it for years, and I come back to it regularly. They’re still doing so many updates, big updates multiple times a year. Came back when Cosmos hit.
Oh, btw, if you find nice things (ships, multitools, whatever), you could share them at No Man’s Sky Glyph Exchange. And yes, sorry, I’v been ‘spamming’ there the past 2 weeks. :D

Holding E is optional but heavily encouraged to be kept on. I only turned it off for bulk repetitive tasks, but realistically it protects you from screwing up and accidentally acting on something you didn’t want to act on.

Theres only one setting I found and it only works for menu actions. Any where you have to hold E for harvesting plants, opening refiner menu, interacting with NPCs, its still there.
I’d rather make mistakes than be forced to wait every time I want to interact with something you know what I mean? Its just irritating. Thankfully I found a mod for that which makes the hold function almost instant for everything else.
