I think some do it because they don’t know what else to do with their time honestly. A lot of older folks basically defined their entire existence by their job. Then they retire and have “nothing to do”. They don’t do or have any hobbies.

Like man, I would love to retire, even better if I could now, while I am young-ish. I could spend the days playing video games, or go walk all the local trails looking for birds and bugs, or just go to all the random little small town festivals in a 100 miles radius listening to all the random live music.

There is just, a lot in the world out there. But too many have no idea, or they have been hammered all their life that anything not work is frivolous, or they worked themselves to death and just can’t get around anymore.

It’s sad.
