DDG isn’t GOOD, but it’s almost always good enough to eventually find what I need. Unlike Google, which is just ads and other useless results now.

Mmm I’m sorry but I’m going to have to disagree. Google’s results are still better than ddg, which sources them from bing. In my experience, it is even more susceptible to SEO spam than google, even though both are pretty bad.
To me, search engines with interesting results are more stuff like marginalia and mojeek, but those are niche and not really for most people. They also have a tendency to give results that have nothing to do with the query, which is sad :(
