We’re gonna need a do-over where it’s the workers holding the obscenely rich and their corrupt enablers accountable.

To correct that again: about 50% of the people killed by the Terror in Paris were clerics, nobles or rich people. The rest were commoners who somehow ran afoul of the Committee of Public Safety. When you allow a judiciary to presume guilt, that’s kinda what happens.
The Committee was the most trigger happy clique that ruled revolutionary France and also the last clique that had any remnants of political ideals beyond “me wan power”. They ordered the razing of Lyon and the use of the infernal columns in the Vendée.
